I had family visiting around Christmas and the guest toilet would not quit running. Finally, about 5 on Saturday evening I called Reeh. My nephew said it was pointless as nobody would come out until Monday. He was so wrong.
The on call plumber said he was nearby and would be over as soon as he finished the work he was doing. He called within the hour and was at my door shortly thereafter. He greeted me with a huge cookie from Clear River Pecan and a beautiful Christmas card! I greeted him with a problem. Matthew introduced himself and went to work. It didn’t take long. I asked if I was to pay him or would they bill me. He said it was too near Christmas to charge for anything that easy to fix and off he went.
Last weekend the toilet started doing the same thing. I called Reeh again and Lionel was here quickly. He said new toilets now often have a plastic chain instead of the older metal ones and the plastic ones just break. The metal ones usually just get caught under the flapper occasionally. He said the rubber cone was beginning to wear, so he replaced the cone and the plastic thing with a metal chain. Again, I asked if I was to pay him or if they would bill me. He said he thought it would be under a warranty and off he went.
The first time Matthew left, my niece and nephew flabbergasted. They said, “That would never happen in Dallas!”
You know, it’s not that they haven’t charged me yet, and they still might for the last work. It’s the kindness, prompt attention and care both of these men gave me. I don’t have anyone that can just go in and “fix it” like George could. Everyone knows I rely on a good friend to okay whatever it is before I do anything to this place. He did recommend Reeh because it was not something he could do at the time. Jym was right. It is nice to have someone come to do some work and be sure, honest and thoughtful.
I hope you don’t have plumbing problems, but, if you do, think about calling Reeh Plumbing. If your experience is like mine, you will be pleased.
