When we discovered that our home was built with Kitec plumbing material which was beginning to “fail”, we were horrified to learn that our best option was to re-plumb our entire house! Before commencing, we did extensive research and determined that there wasn’t another company who we felt could do a better job than Reeh Plumbing, Fredericksburg. Bernardo was the “point man” and paved the way for what was to come. He could not have been more professional and did an excellent job explaining our situation and options to us. He spoke with such confidence about and respect for the man who would head up the project (Richard) and came with him and his team to introduce us before they began. We tried as best we could to brace ourselves for a miserable few weeks. BUT.....the stories we read and the pictures we saw did not prepare us for what has turned out to be SOOOO much better than we expected! Putting our home in the hands of Reeh Plumbing was the best decision we could have possibly made. I’m having a difficult time trying to come up with words that best describe what we’ve observed as Richard and his crew (Bearl, Freddie and Daniel) go about their business. Richard is nothing short of brilliant - I can’t imagine that there’s another plumber with more experience AND skill re-plumbing a house. It’s not just his expertise that is impressive - it’s the way he trouble-shoots and problem solves in order to arrive at solutions that cause the least amount of disruption to the clients. AND HES JUST SO PLEASANT!!
The project is more than half-way through and I have a hard time believing that I’ve chosen to write this letter before it is complete but that is evidence of how impressed we are at this point!
I have NEVER observed a crew of any type work harder and more diligently than these four! It’s back-breaking, tedious, strenuous work requiring one or two of them to be crawling around in the attic much of the time. I haven’t heard ANYone complain or curse - quite the contrary!
Without being bossy or critical, Richard directs his crew with patience and clarity. He treats each of them with respect and supports and encourages them individually and as a group.
They collaborate beautifully (they clearly respect him) and get their job done with efficiency and confidence. They are each SO POLITE - not just to us but to each other. They arrive pleasantly each morning and with the exception of a brief lunch break, they NEVER STOP MOVING!
They seem to REALLY sympathize with what an enormous trial this can be for the homeowner and go out of their way to cause the least amount of disruption possible. They cut holes and drop pipes and prepare valves and do everything possible to have things in place so that they only need to shut off our water for specific periods of time during which they work SO hard to get things hooked up so that we’re only without water the minimum amount of time possible. They do whatever it takes to insure we have running water in at least one section of our house before they leave each day.
They always have brooms and dust pans and vacuum cleaners nearby and they clean up the messes they make as they move along. Before they leave in the evening, they tidy up and Richard makes sure that our questions are answered , our concerns addressed and prepares us for what will happen the following day.
I would not wish this particular experience on ANYone but, all things considered, what I expected would be absolute misery has, thus far, proved to be an almost pleasant experience. Well...that’s a stretch but seriously, these guys are amazing.
